Fabrics

We can make our flags and banners out of just about any fabric

One regular question is "How long will my flag last?".

We can not give an exact answer on how long the flag will last. No matter how well it is made, a flag is only a piece of material and if used the varying conditions such as wind, rain or UV effect its longevity.

Reasonable care can contribute greatly to a longer product lifespan.

Removing flags in the high wind, avoiding direct or intense sunlight or even days where there are hi levels of UV can all contribute towards the flag lasting longer.

Ultimately the choice of fabric should be determined by the location of where the flag is to be flown and the general weather conditions in that area.

There is no point in ordering a flag in lower grades of polyester if your flag will be flown in extreme weather conditions. It just won’t last long.

Please note the heavier the flag the more wind required to move the flag.

80 GSM Polyester

This is usually reserved for hand flags of a size no larger than 500 x 250mm or for flags that are used once outdoors, ie for draping over a coffin or for indoor use in a non commercial environment.

100 GSM Polyester

120 GSM Polyester

This fabric is suitable for indoor or outdoor use for all flag sizes.   This would be better suited to an area where the wind levels are low allow the flag to flutter more easily

Once printed, this fabric can be seen on the other side in reverse or mirror image. There is some minimal loss of color on the reverse side.

Please see our pages on single and double sided flags for more information on this

200GSM POLYESTER

It is also used in making our Bali, Feather, Shark, Rectangle and teardrop banners etc

This fabric can also be printed using the following techniques, silk screening and dye sublimation as well as direct to fabric print, the flag material are printed on one side and it bleeds through to the other side.

Please see our pages on single and double sided flags for more information on this

400 GSM POLYESTER

As it is a heavier fabric it requires a higher wind speed to ensure it flies.
